DAY 1

If you’re all about Karukinka photo tours and getting lots of great pictures, this day (and this whole trip!) is for you. You’ll arrive at Porvenir, the capital of Tierra del Fuego. Then, we’ll come pick you up at the ferry station or airport and take you on an exciting tour of the city.

Afterwards, we’ll begin our journey south. Be sure to look for the famed native species, the Guanaco, as we travel to Estancia Onaisin. Once we arrive, we’ll pay a visit to the British cemetery before making our way to the King Penguin Natural Reserve. There, we’ll spend a blissful hour watching these majestic birds in their natural habitat.

Our tour then continues to Russfin, where you can see the “Draga Aurifera,” or Golden Dredge. On the way, keep your eyes peeled for indigenous birds, including the bandurrias, caiquén, and maybe even the Chilean flamenco.

After your exciting day, you’ll spend the night at a cozy lodge on the shore of beautiful Lago Blanco. A box lunch and homemade dinner, complete with dessert, are included.

DAY 2

We’ll begin day two with a nourishing breakfast together. Then, it’s time to trek in Karukinka Natural Park. We’ll take a semi-challenging trail that covers a distance of 12 km round trip. As you walk, you’ll see local wildlife, steppes, sub Antarctic forest, and beautiful flora and fauna.

We’ll stop at Lookout La Lenga and Lookout Laguna del Cura, 466 m above sea level, to take in the gorgeous view. Then, we’ll head to the lake as our final stop.

Day 2 includes a box lunch, homemade dinner with dessert, and a comfortable overnight stay at the lodge.
