Cristian Vera Israel

Cristian is the Co-Founder and CEO of South Adventure and TDF Patagonia Tour in Chile. He was born in Porvenir - Tierra del Fuego in Chilean Patagonia. He loves the flora and fauna in Patagonia and his childhood dream was to one day reach Darwin's mountains. He started his career working as a hiking and mountain guide for seven years in Torres del Paine National Park. He gained extensive experience in the area and took rescue and survival courses in remote areas. In 2011 he moved to the Falkland Islands where he became fascinated with the great diversity of life on the islands in the South Atlantic Ocean and created a tourism company. In 2016 he created a tourism company in Tierra del Fuego, thus becoming the first tour operator on the Chilean side of the island. At the beginning, the company had a local focus but soon after it went global. He currently resides in Tierra del Fuego and loves music, dogs, and peace and quiet.

Patrycja Niewiarowska

Co-Founder and general manager of South Adventure and parent company TDF Patagonia Tour. Patrycja graduated from the Medical University in Poland and has been working with management and development of companies for 15 years. Many years ago, she went to the Falkland Islands, then Chile and Patagonia. This was where her lifelong career in the tourism industry started. Impressed by the beauty and biodiversity in South America, it has become her passion to help others explore extraordinary places. Together with the team, she works to create unique journeys and strives to make innovations in the travel industry. She loves animals, nature, and South America.

Marcelo Soto Cariaga

Born in Chile, Marcelo is a resident of Santiago, Chile. He graduated from Universidad de las América’s as a financial auditor for the tourism industry. He specializes in finance, accounting and economics. Over the years, he developed and honed his finance and management skills thanks to his experience working with various businesses. He is full of enthusiasm and serenity and likes to play outdoor sports and spend time with his family.

Claudio Zelarayan

Claudio was born in Argentina and is a resident of El Calafate, Patagonia. He has been working in the tourism industry for many years. He specializes in logistics and the implementation of tourist services. He has a vast knowledge of travel experiences and focuses on perfecting even the smallest details of a tour. Always smiling and full of optimism, he loves the country for its beauty and enjoys finding unusual places.

Maria Casiraghi

Maria was born in Buenos Aires and lives there to this day. Since 2003 she has alternated between working as a free-lance tour guide and a journalist/writer. She has published 13 books in subjects ranging from poetry to fiction to travel. María also loves to travel, she has visited more than fifty countries and five continents. She is enthusiastic about showing her city to visitors in the same way she likes to experience other places in the world. She helps her clients get a better understanding of what her country is really like outside the standard tourist experience. She leads personalized tours through her city designed specifically to match the tastes of her clients, and provides a variety of ways to learn about the city.

Paty Szczesniak

Paty is a traveler by passion, a psychologist by education, and travel guide by vocation. She is a nature lover and passionate about the outdoor lifestyle. She hitchhiked halfway around the world before reaching Patagonia, where she found her home and settled permanently. She loves South America with all her heart and feels most at home here. She shares her love for this beautiful continent with anyone willing to open their heart. Patagonia charmed her with its harsh climate, many challenges, pristine nature, unusual flora, and huge glaciers. She enjoys face-to-face encounters with  guanacos, penguins, and even pumas. She is guided by the motto: To the end of the world and ... even further!

Jorge Andres Soto

Jorge was born in Santiago, Chile and has worked in tourism for 10 years. His goal is for every traveler to get to know the best parts of Santiago and other regions of Chile. He is passionate about showing people the beautiful landscapes, the majesty of the Andes and the Pacific Ocean as well as the world-famous vineyards. His goal is for everyone to enjoy his beautiful country.

Izabela Ratajewska

For many years Izabela taught English in Poland and Spain. Then, one day 15 years ago, she went on a trip around the world and one of the stops was Chile. Even though South America wasn't her main destination, she immediately felt at home. She fell in love with the continent, especially Patagonia. She now works as a local guide in one of her favorite national parks in the world - Torres del Paine. Most of her time is spent in picturesque places, on mountain trails, among glaciers, fjords and wild animals. She says her "office" is the most beautiful place in the world, and her job provides a constant source of entertainment and opportunity to meet wonderful people. To her, every day is an adventure and a new challenge.

Arek Mytko

Arek was born in Poland and lives in Tucuman, Argentina. He went to school for environmental engineering and has been involved in outdoor and Patagonia tourism for over 20 years. He is a kayaking, mountain and glacier guide. He has traveled all over Patagonia biking, skiing, canoeing, walking and climbing. He has been the author of articles for National Geographic, Paddling Magazine, Outdoor Magazine and has won many awards including National Geographic Traveler or Colossus.
